Pennsylvania pension trustee turns up heat over access-to-documents

Pennsylvania state Sen. Katie Muth has hired a transparency law expert to help her get access to documents from the state’s largest public pension fund before a June 10 meeting, as the system faces a federal investigation into certain of its investment decisions.
Ms. Muth, a Democrat who became a trustee of the $62 billion Pennsylvania Public School Employees Retirement System early this year, has retained lawyer Terry Mutchler, the founding executive director of the state’s office of open records, to help obtain documents. (read the story here)
