Long-Term Care Policy Holders Public Comment to Board Members Tuesday 9/14 at 11am

Updated: Sep 9

I have heard from many Long-Term Care policyholders about the heavy financial and emotional burden of premium increases. Members purchased LTC policies as a safety net and now CalPERS has ripped the net out from under them.

I've also heard from many policyholders asking how the LTC lawsuit settlement will impact premiums going forward, or if CalPERS' Long Term Care program will be financially viable. I don't have the answers to your questions but I will continue to demand answers.

The Board should hear your concerns. You have the opportunity to provide Public Comment on Tueday, September 14th sometime after 11:00am as part of the Finance and Administration Committee agenda. Item 7b : Long-Term Care Valuation

CalPERS will have a webcasted meeting.
